FREEDOM
By Susan Steffen-Kraft
When I learned the meaning of freedom I realize now, was when I was young! At the time I did not realize how it would affect me later! U may laugh as it was just child's play! My friends and I did not play Cowboys and Indians. I did not grow up in a house that had guns. My father was a peaceful loving man who was a very hard worker but of a gentle nature. Thus I would never have played that game.
However, I dearly loved horses. I read horse books all the time. I wanted a horse so bad but did not get one until I was out of college! Part of what my friends and I did was we played the horse game which we called Horses and Cowboys. Being as we were all girls who played that game we had to have a stallion to lead the group. I took the role Fury and Black Stallion style. Protect the herd from all predators who sought to kill or capture us.
there were slower and weaker horses(children) who would get left behind!
So when some horses would get caught and captured we had to protect and stop the Cowboys from taking them away! I am sure u are wondering how we could do that. Now here is the part that you may find interesting.
Yes, me the non violent one resorted to play violence! As the leader I got others to join in. We would pretend to knock the cowboys out of the saddle and stomp them to death. Thus we accomplished 2 things. We kept our freedom and rescued the Cow Ponies from their life of drudgery. FREEDOM! The wild horse has long been a symbol of freedom, grace and strength!
We must Protect these Shores and Protect Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness. We must Protect the Declaration of Independence, the Constitution and the Bill of Rights!
If all this Means we Vote, Call our Congressmen and Sign Petitions then We must do so! I was asked by someone in my Facebook political group that did I really think that calling these Congressmen did any good and did they really listen.
The point is that I try and so my conscience is clear. The person who said that obviously gripes but other then that they do nothing! They would not make a good protector of the herd.
Those types do not deserve freedom nor have they earned it. But in this country even the do nothings are blessed with this gift.
I Urge You to Protect Your Rights even if You have to do a Little Stomping!
FREEDOM ISN'T FREE! YOU HAVE TO PAY A PRICE YOU HAVE TO SACRIFICE, FOR YOUR LIBERTY!
Below is an awesome song, I invite you to listen to it.
