A King Betrayed
The path to the wars we are in now was started on the road by an awful act of treachery and deception. The Overthrow of the Shah of Iran. This country was at the height of prosperity and then the Shah became a target, led by foreign policy makers in both the U.S. and Briton. When this happened the Middle East was never the same again. Iran fell to Ayatollah Khomeini's reign of terror.
Henry Kissinger was thought of as a close friend by the Shah. A huge mistake on his part. Kissinger spoke with forked tongue. And as with President Kennedy, it took a team of mutual enemies with a mutual goal to destroy the Shah and the country of Iran.
There are many and varied reasons why the Shah was a target. He was bringing Iran into a life of Independence by making it progressive and prosperous. He was hated because he was a modernizer, liberalizer, and nationalistic.
The Shah wanted peace but this was not in the agenda of those seeking global governance. War brings about their goal which is the "New World Order!" So the CFR clique and others of the same ilk ousted the Shah. And Voila, we now have today's Iran and the flames of fire and unrest in the Middle East!
When the campaign against him started it happened quickly and the Shah stated once that , "the U.S. media found him “a despot, an oppressor, a tyrant.” Ted Kennedy denounced him for running “one of the most violent regimes in the history of mankind.” So untrue. He was a smart intelligent man wanted to avoid blood. The man who was put in his place infamously stated "Destroy, Destroy Destroy. There cannot be enough destruction". And yet, we helped bring the Ayatollah Khomeini to power!
Of course he was also against the opium trade! Another reason to get rid of him. Money. power, control!
If the Carter Administration had not undermined the Shah of Iran, the regime itself would have implemented the proper foundations for a modern democratic republic or constitutional monarchy. Modern Iran could have been an “island of stability” in the Middle East. Without the Carter Administration’s misguided foreign policy initiatives, Iran, similar to Japan, Denmark, Spain or England, could today be a close U.S. ally with a hereditary monarch and a democratically elected President or Prime Minister. Carter also accused the Shah of torturing some 3,000 political prisoners. That was an overstatement according to Amnesty International. It was only Communists and Marxist Islamist s who supported the Soviet Union that this apparently were the political prisoners. "Kho-meini's regime executed more people in its first year in power than the Shah's Savak had allegedly killed in the previous 25 years." This according to Steven Hayword who wrote a book entitled "The Real Jimmy Carter! And by the way Mr. Carter, those 3,000 were executed by Khomeini's firing squad. He also killed 20,000 pro-Western Iranians. rescueattempt.com revealed some of these facts.
THe mullahs hated the Shah because he was giving women freedoms. Being secular and pro-Western he was expanding their rights and roles in an Iranian Society! Imagine a leader in the Middle East who wanted peace and for women to have rights.
We betrayed and humiliated the Shah. Some of his people went along with it which was their mistake as they had believed the Khomeini with his promises of freedom and democracy. Much like the Red Army who led the rebellion in Russia thinking they were leading people to equality and all is shared and all are equal, it did not happen. The people fell for the lies and got Communism instead. So thus the same in Iran and The island of stablility in the Middle East was no longer thanks to Kissinger (a Republican) and Carter (a Democrat). Who says there is a difference when they are trying for the same goals.
The Shah did not stand his ground and fight because he did not wish to go to war against his own country. And an empire was breathing down his neck. Thus he abdicated and accepted exile hoping against hope that America was still his countries ally and he could avoid bloodshed by doing so. He was ordered to leave in all actuality and to boot he had cancer.
"Extremist Islamic leaders across the region fool their constituencies by claiming to be against Western domination, but they never publicize the fact that the same Western powers they're railing against put them on the throne. Which begs the question: why deceive people into war? The answer stares us in the face: to create a massive global crisis out of which an authoritarian global government will emerge as a shining city on the rubble of time". From The Excavator
Anwar Sadut (who was also for a peaceful Middle East) stood by his friend the Shah. He saved him from infamous death being as the Shah was to be sent to Iran in exchange for hostages and brought him to Egypt. I will always admire Anwar Sadut for standing by his friend and not too long after the Shah's death he himself was assassinated He had a great funeral for his friend, which out of all the American dignitaries, President Nixon to his credit, was the only one who attended.
